谈交际英语教学中的角色扮演

 

 
摘    要

      

传统的英语教学法通常只重视语法教学而忽略学生的真正需求并且没有给学生提供一些贴近现实生活的场景让学生来锻炼口语。然而,英语口语教学的主要目的应该是培养学生运用英语进行交际的能力,并且在交流中让学生重视合作与互动。为了达到这样一个目的,角色扮演法被看成是一种颇有成效的教学法。通过研究前人的资料,本文通过问卷调查的形式分析角色扮演法在小学英语教学中所能发挥的作用。整篇论文分为三个部分,即引言,正文和总结。[u1] 本文使用角色扮演法之前和之后的两个阶段对同一班学生进行两次问卷调查。通过数据分析指出前后两阶段学生各方面所发生的变化。本文希望通过这种方式来引起大家对角色扮演教学法的重视,并且更重要的是,使教师进一步关注起对学生合作互动精神及交际能力的培养以便日后可以实际使用。

On Role Play in the Communicative English Teaching


1 Introduction

Littlewood.( 1981:7) once said “The ultimate goal of foreign language teaching is to develop the ability to use real and appropriate language to communicate and interact with others”. The communicative English teaching lays stress on not only the language pattern but its proper use. It especially concentrates on the accuracy and fluency of language using so as to complete the communicative tasks. It not only sticks to the way of the student-centered teaching but mostly emphasizes the motivation and interaction among the students. It admits the differences among the students while abandoning the traditional one-track teaching concept.

Different from the traditional English teaching methods to foster the grammatical competence, the communicative English teaching attaches more importance to cultivating the communicative competence. To reach this goal, role play is regarded as one of the most ideal teaching method. It can encourage students to act out different characters in the set situation. In this way, the certain communicative competence that can be used in the later real situation can be obtained by themselves. Role-play in some context is a practical way of training. The role play in the communicative English teaching is considered as a fruitful way to enhance the learners’ communicative competence.
